The sequence
Seven working days,in order.
Nothing in a bathroom can be done out of sequence, which is exactly why a crew that walks off mid-job costs you weeks rather than days. This is how ours runs, start to finish.
- 00Pre-start
Estimate on site
Thirty minutes in your bathroom, Monday to Saturday between 3 and 5 PM. You get a written, itemized proposal within 48 hours — not a number over the phone.
- 01Day 1
Protection and demo
Dust wall up, room stripped to the studs, debris out the same day. This is also when surprises surface, and when we tell you about them.
- 02Day 2
Rough plumbing and electrical
New drain and supply, valve set, GFCI and lighting, fan ducted outside. Permits pulled with your town and inspections scheduled by us.
- 03Day 3
Waterproofing
Mortar bed, membrane, banded corners, flood test. This is the day that decides whether the ceiling below stays dry for twenty years.
- 04Day 4
Tile and grout
Dry layout first so the cuts are deliberate. Then wall, floor, niche, grout, and silicone at every corner and change of plane.
- 05Day 5
Vanity, fixtures and trim
Everything you actually touch goes in: vanity, top, faucet, toilet, mirror, lighting, hardware, door and trim.
- 06Day 6
Walk-through and sign-off
We walk the room with you, write the punch list, finish it, and clean the space before we invoice.
The work
Walk-in showers, conversions,primary suites.
From a 5×7 second-floor bath in a 1920s two-family to a primary suite in Wellesley — the range we build in across Greater Boston.
Reference builds in the configurations and materials we work in. Photography of 7 Days projects is added here as jobs are completed and released by the homeowner.
Scope of work
Everything a 7 Days bathroomactually includes.
This is the sheet we hand you at the estimate — the same list, in the same order, that the crew works from. Nothing on it is a line item we add later.

Protection & dust control
Floor and stair protection from the door to the bathroom, a zippered dust wall at the opening, and debris carried out the same day it comes off the wall.
Full tear-out to the studs
Tile, board, tub, vanity, toilet and the old subfloor if it's soft. We look at the joists and the supply lines while the walls are open and tell you what we find.
Rough plumbing
Drain and supply relocated for the new layout, shower valve set to the tile plane, shutoffs replaced, and the whole thing pressure-checked before anything closes up.
Electrical & ventilation
GFCI outlets, vanity and shower lighting, and an exhaust fan ducted to the outside — not into the joist bay or the attic, which is how ceilings grow mold.
Waterproofing & flood test
Sloped mortar bed, bonded waterproofing membrane at the pan, curb and wall, corners banded, and a 24-hour flood test on the pan before a single tile goes down.
Tile, niche & grout
Layout dry-run so cuts land where you'd want them, recessed niche framed and pitched, then grout and a sealed perimeter in silicone — never grout — at every change of plane.
Vanity, toilet & fixtures
Vanity set and scribed to the wall, top and bowl, trim kits, toilet on a new flange and wax, mirror, lights and hardware.
Glass, punch list & walk-through
Shower glass measured on site, then installed when the fabricator delivers. We walk the room with you and fix the punch list before the final invoice.

on Angi
“I hired 7 Days Remodel & Contracting to replace my deck and repair the front porch. I also needed new kitchen and bathroom flooring and tile on the kitchen counter and upstairs bathroom. Al and his team were extremely professional and multitasked to complete interior and exterior while I was away on military orders. Pleasantly surprised and extremely satisfied with the outcome and highly recommend them — Al communicated consistently throughout the process and completed the work as discussed prior to my return and on budget.”
“Al did a great job on our renovation of our three-unit apartment building. He showed up, his team showed up, and everyone was skilled, delivering a great result.”

“The job was done in a timeframe that was shorter than projected. Their team was very professional and did a great job cleaning up behind themselves.”

Service area
Nine towns,nine different jobs.
Headquartered in Maynard, MA, and every town within 15 miles of Waltham, MA. Each town below has its own page — the housing stock in Cambridge is not the housing stock in Wellesley, and the job isn't either.
- 01Maynard, MA7 Days is based in Maynard. Your bathroom is the shortest drive on our schedule.
- 02Waltham, MATwo-families, triple-deckers and 1920s colonials — where a bathroom sits over somebody's ceiling.
- 03Newton, MAVictorians, shingle-style and centre-entrance colonials, where the primary bath has to be carved out of what's there.
- 04Watertown, MABungalows, two-families and 1950s ranches with original mud-set tile that has held on for seventy years.
- 05Belmont, MAColonials, capes and Dutch colonials from the 1920s to the 1950s, usually with one hall bath doing all the work.
- 06Chestnut Hill, MAPrimary suites at spa scale — slab, glass and heated floors, with lead times that decide the calendar.
- 07Cambridge, MATriple-deckers, Victorian two-families and condos, where the building has as many rules as the town does.
- 08Brookline, MA1920s brick apartment buildings, condos and large Victorians — stacked living, shared plumbing, zero margin on waterproofing.
- 09Wellesley, MAColonials and capes with primary suites — double vanity, soaking tub, glass shower, and a finish date that holds.
Beyond the bathroom
Three more trades,same shop.
Bathrooms are what we lead with. These run out of the same shop, on the same schedule, with a partner accountable for each one.
- 01
Kitchen Remodeling
Kitchens don't stall because of the carpentry. They stall because someone demoed in March and the cabinets shipped in June.
- 02
Interior & Exterior Painting
A paint job fails at the caulk line and the bare spot behind the radiator — never in the middle of the wall.
- 03
Home Remodeling
The reason crews walk off a remodel is that they promised a date they never had. We only commit to schedules we can hold.
